Since 1936, René Schönefeld–Three Kings has maintained an unwavering commitment to product quality, earning a leading position in the incense market in the Netherlands, throughout Europe, and around the world. Over time, Three Kings expanded its offerings with the introduction of innovative quick-lighting charcoal, which—together with its incense products—achieved remarkable success.

Originally, René Schönefeld’s incense mixtures and natural resins were marketed under the Three Kings label, whose portfolio included charcoal, incense, and natural resins. In 2021, the brands were reorganized: René Schönefeld became a distinct brand dedicated to unique incense blends and natural resins, while charcoal products continued under the Three Kings brand identity.
